Congratulations Gary And Yoshie!

As my journey to Japan draws ever closer, I find myself wondering if I haven’t set myself up for disappointment. Can the reality possibly match the dream?

Then I see a woman cosplaying as a go go dancer from a 70s Godzilla movie, and I know that everything’s going to be alright forever.
Never have I been more glad to live in Osaka than this past Sunday when I rolled my orbs onto the beauty that is the Nipponbashi Street Festa!
Here’s some more shots of the action.

J. and I attended a screening of the infamous zombie film Burial Ground the other night. It was a washed out print projected from a DVD with sound quality so poor that more often than not the mockery from the yokels in attendance drowned out the dialogue. Despite all that J. and I left impressed, due almost entirely to the zombie make-up.
I love Italian zombies most of all. Most other zombie movies seem to want to hold a mirror up to the viewer more or less as he or she currently exists, showing the walking dead as freshly dug from the grave. Italian zombies, on the other hand, are broken down, maggot infested, muck-encrusted fiends; what we will become as we patiently wait our turn in the damp earth.
This video really makes me wish I had a DSi and not a lousy DS Lite. I’m not sure, but it must use the DSi’s camera, sensing the face location or maybe it has a gyroscope? I don’t know, but I want it, man!

Living in the future once again grants me the luxury of celebrating days of great importance. It’s this day I can wish past-brother Steve a happy birthday and enjoy the fact that he will soon join me in this chaotic land of endless kaiju instigated chaos.
I’ll admit that even though Osaka Castle is in view of where my near future wedding is taking place, I’d thought of it as a back up of places for my visiting family to check out. That is until I saw goddam-fucking Godzilla ass-ramming the shit outta Anguirus into it.
Of all the monsters…ANGUIRUS!!!
Good times to come soon in the land of all things future. Happy Birthday!
