The news of David Carradine’s passing saddens me deeply.

Unfortunately, I’m not all that familiar with his work except for Kung-fu: The Legend Continues (and Kill Bill, of course). But it’s this single show that shaped my life and many others. My brothers and I would often watch and learn from the adventures of Kwai Chang Caine and his often conflicted son, Peter. Whether it was confronting town-stealing biker gangs or stopping disturbed men on the bus, there was always a lesson to be learned.
